W/ All Your Heart...
Hey beautiful people! For those of you who have faithfully kept up with my blog entries, you may have noticed I sort of did a virtual makeover with my whole site.
So, welcome to Lauren Faith. When coming up with a new idea, I wanted to keep my original idea in the roots. First, because the idea of "transparent faith" totally encompasses my whole desire in this website, but also because many of you related to it and felt the same. So, I decided to go with something simple, a lot of bloggers use their name for their blog's title, I wanted mine to have meaning... Shoutout to my mama and daddy for giving me a name that totally does!! :)
I have kinda adopted the idea and quote that encapsulates my testimony, and who I want to be;
"Faith is my middle name & my story."
I fully believe in this with all of my heart, call it my theme, perhaps...
// For any new readers you can read my personal testimony by clicking here and scrolling down to the post entitled "My Story". //
Anyways, in creating this new site, my whole purpose and drive all comes back to Colossians 3:23;
I constantly have to remind myself of this, whether it be while writing, taking pictures, doing schoolwork, or interacting with people; I believe this is crucial in living with transparent faith. My dad is the first thing I think of when hearing this verse, he works harder than anybody I know and lives with this verse as a life motto in EVERYTHING he does. I'll never forget the first time I heard this verse, specifically with life application; I was sweeping the kitchen and moaning and groaning about it, and my daddy looked at me and said; "Lauren, you know you better sweep that kitchen like its for Jesus". I'll never forget that.
So, I thought, if I'm doing this blog solely for ministry, I'm gonna pursue and work at it like Jesus would. After all, if all of this is for Him, I better dream BIG!
With all of this being said, I hope you enjoy my new site, I have integrated one of my greatest passions; photography, as well as my blog. Oh, and don't worry... All of my past writings from my original blog are all on here. I want to encourage you today, in whatever you're doing, whether it be housework, or schoolwork, to do it as if you were doing it for the Lord, just like it says in Colossians 3:23. Personally, I integrate this into my life most when I'm working and as a high school student. I tell myself when I'm taking care of the kids of the family I work for, not to just take care of their needs, but FEED THEM SPIRITUALLY, as if I was raising them up to be servants of our Most High King. It's not always easy to work at 110% but its definitely worth it. You will grow in your faith like never before.
Don't mind the fight because trust me, it's totally worth it when you see the fruits of your labor.
